New(ish) movies I want to see

I love the Millennium series books, and I’ve heard really good things about the Swedish movie, which is opening in the U.S. next week. Plus you know Hollywood is probably going to ruin the American version.
The Hurt Locker
I wanted to see this even before Kathryn Bigelow’s historic Oscar win, because I’d heard so many good things about it, and I like a good war movie now and then.
The Runaways
The early reviews are pretty mixed, but I’ll watch pretty much any movie about all-girl bands (even Satisfaction with Jusine Bateman), and it’s important to support female-led films.
I also like the cast (and their hair):

League looks painfully unoriginal and stupid, and the critics hate Remember Me.
But more importantly, I’ve had enough of Robert Pattinson’s brooding to last a lifetime after sitting through the disastrous Twilight sequel. I don’t care if he does have skin that sparkles.
Love The Hurt Locker. Quite good. THough some parts made me go a little o_0 at times.
Dragon Tattoo movie I definitely want to too see as well.
The Runaways I’ll watch just for Dakota and a little for Kristen just to see her in something other than Twilight Saga.
As for the other two movies; Remember Me and SHe’s OUt Of My League… don’t really care about them.
Also… Real Vampires DO NOT sparkle….
‘The Hurt Locker’ was really good - a deserving win, although I can understand arguments that it’s a pity the first woman to pick up the directing Oscar did it with a war film (i.e. dude-centric stuff men have decided is ‘important’). Excited about the Runaways movie - mostly, because Hollywood actually made a film about the Runaways and I am therefore duty-bound to see it. The rest - not so much, although I haven’t read any of the Millennium series books yet. Love the tag-line for ‘She’s Out of My League’ - uh, maybe because she’s watched too much TV where that kind of dynamic is presented ALL THE TIME!
